Seventeen-time Grand Slam winner and former men's singles champion at Wimbledon, Roger Federer returns to his favourite tournament once again this year looking to break the record seven Wimbledon titles he shares with Pete Sampras.

Having already equalled Bjorn Borg's record of five straight wins in 2007, Federer lost his next final in 2008 to his nemesis, Rafa Nadal in an epic five set final. However, the great man returned in 2009 and in Nadal's absence regained his title after another epic final, this time with big serving American, Andy Roddick in 2009.

Federer's powers had appeared to be on the wane but he announced his return to form by winning the 2017 Australian Open title.
